Find your balance with Hatha Yoga

We are delighted to welcome instructor Fiona McGrath back to Rock Rose House this Autumn, following the successful introduction of her Hatha Yoga classes earlier this year.

Hatha is a branch of yoga that uses physical techniques to try to preserve and channel vital energy and bring equilibrium to the body and mind. It is typically slower-paced than other styles of yoga, helping practitioners to focus on alignment, breath, and mindfulness.

These classes will be held in our headquarters in Castlebar, Rock Rose House, at 11.00am every Monday from November 2nd for six weeks.

Fiona brings a wonderful blend of experience to these classes, having previously worked as a physiotherapist and having taught yoga for 4 years.

She is passionate about how it can support health and well-being and has coordinated her classes for Mayo Cancer Support to be slow-paced sessions, incorporating gentle movement, balance, breathing control and relaxation.

These classes are suitable for beginners and will help to strengthen the body and mind, boost emotional balance and support participants in managing the stresses of a cancer diagnosis and treatment/recovery; supporting someone going through cancer or the impacts of grief.

Classes are free of charge but numbers are limited so please reserve your place by calling us on (094)9038407 or email info@mayocancersupport.ie
