November Men’s Support Group Meeting
Our Men’s Support Group meets on the second Tuesday of every month.
Our newly established Men’s Support Group has been launched with the aim of providing a space where men who have been impacted by cancer can talk, share experiences, and find understanding .
This group meets on the second Tuesday of every month. Facilitated by a professional, it is open to anyone who has experienced or is dealing with a cancer diagnosis personally or is caring for someone who is or has gone through cancer. The group is also open to any men who have been bereaved as a result of cancer.
It affords a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where members can gain insight, support and understanding from peers who have gone through a similar cancer experience.
This is an informal but confidential forum where you can share questions and concerns that you may feel unable to express elsewhere and learn helpful skills for coping with what you are going through.
So whether you’ve had cancer, are in remission, have supported a friend, partner, or family member through their cancer journey or if you have lost someone to cancer you will be most welcome to try out this support group which is open to men from 18 years up.
You may be able to give support to others as well as receive it, if needed, so please consider getting involved and, together, we can build a community of men supporting men through one of life’s toughest challenges.
If you would like to attend or require further information call us on (094)9038407 or email info@mayocancersupport.ie.
