New Men's Support Group

Our new Men’s Support Group meets on the second Tuesday of every month.

Cancer affects not only the person diagnosed but also their loved ones. For men who have been impacted by cancer - whether through their own diagnosis, by supporting someone close to them or losing someone to cancer - having a space to talk, share experiences, and find understanding is incredibly important.

That’s why Mayo Cancer Support has launched a new monthly Men’s Support Group and we’d love for you to be part of it.

This group is facilitated by a professional and provides a safe space for any men who are or have been affected by a cancer diagnosis.

It affords a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where members can gain insight, support and understanding from peers who have gone through a similar cancer experience.

This is an informal but confidential forum where you can share questions and concerns that you may feel unable to express elsewhere.

This is not just for those who are currently undergoing treatment but for anyone who has ever been affected by cancer—whether you’ve had cancer, are in remission, have supported a friend, partner, or family member through their cancer journey or lost someone to cancer. It is open to men from 18 years up.

You may be able to give support to others as well as receive it, if needed, so please consider getting involved and, together, we can build a community of men supporting men through one of life’s toughest challenges.

If you would like to attend or require further information call us on (094)9038407 or email info@mayocancersupport.ie.
