Cervical Cancer Prevention Week

Cervical Cancer Prevention Week 2025 takes place from Monday, January 20 to Sunday, January 26 next.

This is an annual initiative organized by various healthcare organizations, including cancer charities and healthcare providers with the aim of raising awareness about cervical cancer, encouraging women to attend cervical screenings (also known as smear tests), and providing information about the HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccination.

Cervical cancer is a largely preventable disease, and this week serves as a reminder to prioritize cervical health and take steps to reduce the risk of this cancer.

A cervical screening, also know as a smear test, can help to prevent cervical cancer. It looks to see if you might be at greater risk of developing cervical cancer.
